Friday was a very uneventful day. Jessie and I were both recovering from our bad sunburns and so we decided to shield ourselves from the sun by staying indoors (not the most exciting thing when you’re in a tropical paradise). We checked into a new hotel because Logon Beach Resort was booked up, and the new hotel actually was a nice change
.
We then went for lunch and Jessie ordered a fried fish meal and the fish came out in their entirety…. Heads and all. After she got over the fact that ‘the fish was staring right at her’, she enjoyed it thoroughly.
In the hotel, we became good friends with a Filipino man named Proxie. He was the owner’s cousin and was very talkative. Because we were staying inside for the afternoon, he kept us company and was able to provide us with information about traveling throughout Cebu. He asked for our email addresses, so perhaps we will meet up with him when we’re back in Cebu City.
Friday evening we had a nice dinner and then walked around the beach front. There were lots of vendors selling various goods and restaurants and pubs open for business. It was a beautiful night to take in the sight of the ocean and enjoy the feel of island life.
